This is a mint condition collector plate from the Royal Worcester Christmas
Plate collection, which was issued between 1979 and 1982. It is the third plate in the series of four. The plates
are fine English porcelain, trimmed in 24K gold. They are 9 inches in diameter. The outer rim has a raised holly
leaf pattern with 24K gold trim on the outer edge and around the center design.
The center design for each plate is a 19th century style print.
This particular plate is called Christmas Day and depicts a group of Victorian carol singers on Christmas day.
This plate is in perfect condition - no chips, cracks, or restorations. It has never been
displayed or used.
The back of the plate contains holly on the top and bottom and the following information:
An original pamphet describing the plate is
provided with each plate. The pamphlet is in excellent condition.
The original presentation box is
provided with each plate. The box shows a little age spotting and considerable wear. It has some
tears that were repaired with tape that has now yellowed. There are a few small
identification and price stickers on the box flaps and side.
