This is a mint condition collector plate from the Aynsley Christmas
Plate collection, which was issued between 1983 and 1986. It is the first plate in the series. The plates
are fine English bone china, trimmed in 24K gold. They are 8 1/8 inches in diameter.
The subject matter for each plate is a Lawrence Woodhouse illustration of
a scene from Victorian England. This particular plate is called Carol Singing and depicts a group of singers singing
Christmas carols outside a home.
This plate is in perfect condition - no chips, cracks, or restorations. It has never been
displayed or used.
