This is a mint condition collector plate from the Aynsley Dickens Christmas
Plate collection, which was issued between 1979 and 1982. It is the fourth plate and last issued in the series. The plates
are fine English bone china, trimmed in 24K gold. They are 8 1/8 inches in diameter.
The subject matter for each plate is a Lawrence Woodhouse illustration of
a scene from Dickens' A Christmas Carol. This particular plate depicts Scrooge waking up
on Christmas morning, talking to a young boy in the street below his rooms.
This plate is in perfect condition - no chips, cracks, or restorations. It has never been
displayed or used.

provided with each plate. The box shows a little storage wear on the back.
The box front is an open circle with a single sheet insert depicting the plate and box front.
The insert, shown below, is in excellent condition.
