This is a very nice copy of a 1950 edition. The point of interest on this volume is that it was the first printing of this book with the new Bill Gillies cover art. Previously, the cover art was the original 1932 Russell H. Tandy art.
The
jacket is in good condition. There are some pieces missing along
the top and bottom edges and the flap folds. There is also some creasing and closed tears
along the edges and flap folds. There is a one inch closed tear along the lower back spine
and another on the back flap. The front flap is price clipped.
These are visible in the
scans above. Overall, it is in good condition.
The book is in good condition. There is shelf wear/rubbing on the top and
bottom edges. The outside color is strong and bright - no fading.
It is clean inside.
The pages are clean, crisp, and firmly attached.
Except for a #7 in blue marker on the front free end paper,
there is no writing anywhere in the book.
All jackets are protected in a mylar cover to prevent damage.
