This manuscript was inspired by Margaret Sutton's beloved Judy Bolton series. From 1932 to 1968, Margaret wrote 38 stories based on actual events in her life in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. Followers of the series have clamored for more of Judy's thrills and excitement. A 39th story (A Strange Likeness) was in preparation when the series ceased publication. Margaret wrote a few chapters of yet another book (The Talking Snowman) which was completed and published by Linda Joy Singleton.

In the 1980s, Margaret encouraged her friend Kate Emburg - preisdent of The Society of Phantom Friends, an international organization of series book collectors - to try her hand at writing "a real Judy". This book is the result. It was previously published in installments, but here is the second edition of the complete printing of The Whispering Belltower.

This is a second printing, 1998, of The Whispering Belltower. The first printing was in 1993. It was published in pamphlet form with a light green cover with a black line drawing cover illustration and one line drawing illustration inside.

The book is in mint, unread condition. It does have a small dog ear on the back cover.

Overall, this is near perfect and highly collectible. See scans.
