This is a first printing, 1967-1, according to Clarke’s Guide to Margaret
Sutton’s Judy Bolton Mystery Stories. The book has an illustrated picture
cover and black and white end papers showing two children and a haunted house.
On the back of the book, it lists to The Puzzle in the Pond (#34). This book
has a plain frontispiece and several more full and half page illustrations
placed throughout the book. Inside, it lists to the Secret of the Sand
Castle (#38).
The book is in excellent condition. The pages are clean, bright white
and firmly attached. All internal illustrations are present, clean, and
firmly attached. There is a name printed in ink on the front free end paper.
There is no other writing anywhere in the book. The outside is in excellent
condition. There is a very small amount of wear on the top and bottom spine,
a little shelf wear on the bottom edge, and corner bumps on the front and back
corners - and that's it!
Overall, this is in excellent shape and highly collectible. See scan.
